Please note that Democracy Watch receives many emails daily, and only has one full-time staff person who coordinates all our campaigns, ethics complaints and court cases, and only two other part-time staff who do our graphics, website maintenance and sending of Action Alerts to supporters.
As a result, the organization almost always has a significant backlog of email requests, and may not respond for a month or more.
Democracy Watch focuses its very limited staff time and resources on its 20 campaigns and on many ongoing systemic government ethics complaints and court cases, all aimed at winning systemic, democratic reform, government accountability and corporate responsibility changes that will effectively require everyone in governments, politics and big businesses to be honest, ethical, transparent and waste-preventing, and to make representative decisions. Winning these changes will help millions of Canadians, including by protecting them from gouging, waste of their hard-earned money, and from many other abuses.
A significant amount of Democracy Watch’s staff time is also taken up talking with the media to reach millions of Canadians with key information about Democracy Watch’s key campaigns and court cases. Click here to see media coverage of Democracy Watch.
As a result, Democracy Watch does not have the resources to assist with individual situations or cases. We suggest that you search in your local area or province or territory for a lawyer, or an advocacy or service organization, to assist you.
We also suggest contacting newspaper, radio and TV reporters in your area about your situation or problem, as receiving media coverage of the situation or problem will likely help you win the changes you are seeking.
