OTTAWA \u2013 Today, VoteParty.ca<\/a> released its second Canadian celebrity montage video calling on voters to Make a #VoteDate with a non-voter \u2013 all part of VoteParty.ca\u2019s campaign to increase the number of voters, especially young voters, who vote. The video will be shown before movies in 160 Cineplex Entertainment theatres across Canada starting this Friday until Oct. 17th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second video features David Suzuki (environmentalist and host of CBC TV\u2019s \u201cThe Nature of Things\u201d), Lindsay Broughton (country singer), Greg Bryk (actor on Space TV\u2019s \u201cBitten\u201d and in Brad Pitt\u2019s latest film \u201cAd Astra\u201d), Mary Walsh (comedian and former co-host of CBC TV\u2019s \u201cThis Hour Has 22 Minutes\u201d) and Rick Miller (comedian, creator of the \u201cBOOM\u201d and \u201cBOOM X\u201d theatre shows, and former host of \u201cJust for Laughs\u201d TV show).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Friday Cineplex starting showing VoteParty.ca\u2019s first Canadian celebrity montage video featuring Rick Mercer (comedian and former host of CBC TV\u2019s \u201cRick Mercer Report\u201d), Elena Juatco (actress from ABC\u2019s \u201cOpen Heart\u201d and CTV\u2019s \u201cJANN\u201d show), MAGIC! (#1 song \u201cRude\u201d and other top songs), Ashley Callingbull (actress and Mrs. Universe), and Michelle Morgan (actress from CBC\u2019s \u201cHeartland\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cineplex Entertainment has generously donated the cost of showing the videos at its theatres. Both videos are also available on VoteParty.ca\u2019s homepage<\/a>, and along with many other videos can also be seen on VoteParty.ca\u2019s Celebrity Videos webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VoteParty.ca isn\u2019t urging young voters to vote, it\u2019s inviting young voters to Make a #VoteDate at VoteParty.ca with a non-voter and take them to vote with you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t vote alone, Vote Party together.<\/p>\n

Many other celebrities are also supporting the partner initiative VotePromise.ca<\/a> including George Stroumboulopoulos, Patrick McKenna and Julian Taylor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
